Petrarca was born in Arezzo in the 1304 and this apartment was part of his House. He is considered "the father of Humanism" an attitude associated with the flourishing of the Renaissance.

The entry looks out onto the Arezzo Cathredal, the large vista view park, and the Medici Fortress. The large furnished downstairs area includes a living/dining room with comfortable seating, dining for 8, kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, washing machine, and has a full compliment of dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils.
